Japan's accountancy landscape is redrawn


The decision announced on Tuesday by Misuzu, Japan's fourth-largest accountancy firm and one of two partner firms of PwC, to wind down its business highlights a sea change in the country's accountancy profession.

Misuzu said on Tuesday it had agreed with its competitors to start official negotiations for the transfer of partners and staff after July.
