In the absence of any financial accounting standard on accounting for carbon, the business case for this publication is clear. I believe it will be of considerable value to the membership of the International Emissions Trading Association, as it deals with practical issues that companies in the carbon constrained world are facing today.
It is a pioneering piece of work, on a highly complex topic. Working with the authors of this publication over the last year or so has been eye opening.
