Spam to kill email use?


Email could lose its status as the preferred communications method among consumers and businesses because of the ever-increasing prevalence of spam, according to the findings of a new report.

Market analyst company IDC revealed that some 90 billion emails will be sent during 2007 - of which 40 billion will be spam-based correspondence.

This means that for the first time, spam emails will outnumber those sent personally between individuals, the report stated.
