The IMF has adopted a new fiscal transparency code, the revised Code of Good Practices on Fiscal Transparency, for governments to follow in order to promote better-informed public debate about how they tax and spend.
This will enable citizens of member countries to have the possibility of evaluating their countries from a unified base. This is good news.
