Survey: Flexible working - Round the clock


Employers remain worried about the cost and practicalities of implementing flexible working according to a Human Resources survey produced in association with Smart.

Flexible hours, career breaks, job sharing, remote working ... the terms are infiltrating HR, and most organisations now recognise the commercial benefits of embracing them. Yet there is widespread caution over cost and practical implementation. There is also negativity and confusion surrounding the regulatory framework for a better work-life balance set up by the EU and the UK government over the past 10 years, suggesting further regulation would be unwelcome.

These are the headline findings of the Human Resources Flexible Working Survey 2007, produced in association with workforce management solutions provider Smart.
