Should developed nations face the biggest cuts in carbon emissions?
A new UN report has found that developed countries must cut their emissions by 80 per cent before 2050 if global warming is to be limited to 2 degrees Celsius. But the report calls for China and India to cut their emissions by just 20 per cent by 2050. The reasoning is that developed countries carry more responsibility for past emissions, and have higher per capita emissions than poor countries (story link below).
