The Industry Committee gave its backing on Wednesday to the Commission's proposed Action Plan for Energy Efficiency and the establishment of a Global Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Fund when it adopted two own-initiative reports.
It also said both the Commission and Member States need to improve their implementation of energy-efficiency legislation.
