ICAEW urges action as Accountants for Sustainability report is published

The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) has urged its members to lead the work with the business community and help it deliver on its sustainability obligations.

The appeal comes as the Prince of Wales’s Accounting for Sustainability Project published its report and introduced a number of resources for businesses and other organisations that will help them do so.

Set up in December 2006, the Prince of Wales’s Accounting for Sustainability project looked at both reporting and embedding sustainability. It aimed to create a model to integrate sustainability information into the normal business reporting structure of a company or other organisation.
