Anybody with the slightest training or even interest in business strategy is probably familiar with Michael's Porter's famous 5 Forces Model. It would be no exaggeration to say that this model fundamentally re-defined the field when it was first published back in 1979. Here's a link to a short interview with him (12:57 minutes) on the relevance of the 5 Forces in today's world. Well worth watching.
