
Peter Shapiro was bounding around Brooklyn Bowl one recent evening, showing off all that his new music club slash bowling alley would have to offer.
By the entryway was a full kitchen and dining area. At one end of the cavernous main room, bathed in cool blue light, was the stage. Next to it were 16 bowling lanes, and on the wall above them a concert film by the Who played on eight huge, high-definition screens.
“Who else has got that? Nobody’s got that,” Mr. Shapiro said excitedly as the Who’s “Tommy” blared.
When Brooklyn Bowl finally opens this week on Wythe Avenue in Williamsburg, after two years of construction, it will have a lot that no other local rock club can offer.
