Watson Wyatt Worldwide, a leading global consulting firm, today announced the launch of a groundbreaking research project titled “Managing Human Capital at the Boardroom Level.” This study is designed to provide an underlying body of research-based insight and thought leadership, which forms the basis for the development of human capital risk management methods and tools for Asia-based companies.
“Asia presents particular challenges due to varying cultures, ownership structures and levels of governance and transparency. This adds a degree of complexity to the research, as well as an exciting opportunity for new insight into what really works in Asia that may be different or supplement what works in Western economies,” said Bob Charles, Watson Wyatt’s Regional Manager for Asia Pacific
Assistant Managing Director of the Singapore Economic Development Board, Mr. Quek Swee Kuan said, "This project fits with our strategy to make Singapore a talent nucleus and a Home for Talent. With our strong cultural and market connectivity in Asia, Singapore is the leading place to develop human capital knowledge in Asia. This research project is a good example of the momentum that is already building in this space."
