The CBI commented today on DEFRA’s report called The contribution that reporting of greenhouse gas emissions makes to the UK meeting its climate change objectives: A review of the current evidence.
“The CBI strongly supports emissions reporting because it helps businesses cut carbon effectively and demonstrate their commitment to green growth to investors.
“Many companies already report their emissions under a number of mandatory schemes, including the EU Emissions Trading Scheme, the Carbon Reduction Commitment and Climate Change Agreements.
