Mayor's Summit on the Environment

At the moment, Mexico is the centre of the global movement toward climate change.

Mexico City’s mayor Marcelo Ebrard is actually the chair of the World Mayor's Council on Climate Change and a week before the United Nations will be hosting COP-16 in Cancun, Mexico City is hosting mayors from around the world for The World Mayor’s Summit on Climate Change (WMSC). The event hopes to effectively combine local-level advocacy with international cooperation and awareness.
