Wind Energy Leads Renewables in Journey to a Sustainable Future, but Still a Long Way to Go


Among the new sources of renewable energy that will be central to powering a sustainable future, wind is leading the pack, with nearly 160 gigawatts (GW) of global capacity in 2009. The wind power industry is growing fast, with China first among developing countries with 25 GW, and over half a million people working in the wind energy sector worldwide.
