
CBD Energy has teamed up with two Chinese power companies in a venture targeting Australian wind projects worth $6 billion over eight years.
Sydney-based CBD Energy said it had signed binding agreements with China Datang Corp Renewable Power -- a clean-energy unit of China Datang Group -- and China's Baoding Tianwei Baobian Electric to establish the venture.
The Chinese companies would contribute equipment and financing to the venture, known as AusChina Energy Group, enabling it to compete aggressively for wind projects, CBD Energy said.
