Regional cultures of conservation
The aim of this program is to build “cultures of conservation,” reflected in biological and cultural diversity, human and ecosystem health, and resilient human and natural communities. Achieving this goal requires that we both define new frameworks for sustainable human and natural communities in particular places and empower regional advocates and policy makers with information and new ideas. This program focuses on three regions in the United States: the Lowcountry of South Carolina, the Chicago and Midwest region, and the Hudson Valley region.
