Prime Minister Julia Gillard says that, although Opposition Leader Tony Abbott is carrying on like a hyperactive headless chook, he won't actually carry through on his promise to repeal Labor's carbon tax if elected.Meanwhile, the lower house will spend extra time considering amendments to the government's carbon pricing package this evening.

Mr Abbott kicked off the last question time before the lower house votes on the tax by asking Ms Gillard if she would honour her pre-2010 election pledge not to introduce a price on pollution.
