Americans are loath to take action on climate change. Will they be more open-minded when the issue is cast national security terms?
In the U.S. intelligence and military communities, there is an emerging consensus that the earth’s warming is a clear and present danger.
The U.S. National Intelligence Council’s 2012 Global Trends 2030 report identifies climate change as one of four megatrends: “The growing nexus among food, water, and energy in combination with climate change.”
