Just as 2015 was a year of “global action” with the adoption of the ambitious 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, so 2016 must be a year of “global traction” to ensure that 3.1 billion people worldwide are not left behind in the race to end poverty, United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon said today.
