ECI Wraps up Annual Ethics and Compliance Meeting More than 400 E&C Professionals Focus on Enhancing Workplace Integrity ORLANDO, FL, May 4, 2016 - The Ethics & Compliance Initiative (ECI) successfully concluded its annual conference after three days focused on new strategies for enhancing ethics, compliance and integrity in the workplace. More than 400 ethics and compliance professionals took part in a range of discussions and workshops on such issues as the use of smart technology, advocating for innovations in their organization, and the value of stories for strengthening organizational and individual commitment to workplace integrity. Breakout sessions focused on day-to-day challenges facing ethics and compliance officers such as training programs, effective use of social media, risk assessment and the conduct of internal investigations into possible misconduct. Conference participants also examined the findings of ECI's recent Blue Ribbon Panel report on high quality ethics programs, which identified common principles and practices shared by exemplary ethics and compliance programs. The conference also featured a preview of ECI's upcoming Global Business Ethics Survey®, the global expansion of the National Business Ethics Survey®, which will be released in May. "Sharing experiences and hearing directly about new strategies and techniques is one of the best ways for ethics and compliance professionals to improve their E&C programs," ECI CEO Patricia J. Harned said. "Our members tell us that they are reinvigorated by the exchange of information and leave this conference every year with new knowledge and new energy that help them strengthen their organizations' ethics and compliance efforts." |
