Bad governance suffers workers in Guinea-Bissau


Persistent political instability and bad governance were the root causes for the untold suffering of workers in Guinea-Bissau, according to Desejado Lima Da Costa, secretary general of the Guinea-Bissau Workers Union.

In a speech commemorating the 47th anniversary of the Pindjiquiti massacre, Da Costa lamented the paralysis of the productive sector, underemployment and poverty, which he blamed on the "unprecedented" political crises that are marked by total non-existence of political perspective from national leaders".
