
The Singapore Institute of Directors in partnership with Rajah & Tann will be conducting a series of specially designed workshops throughout the year to provide an update as well as refresh directors with their legal obligations and responsibilities. The 3rd workshop on Corporate Governance – A Fresh Look at Accountability, Responsibility & Managing Risk Plus Whistleblowing will be held on Tuesday, 15 August 2006 at Grand Hyatt Hotel, Camellia 1.
Effective and good corporate governance continues to be a competitive differentiator for companies. There have been numerous training sessions that pick up on this fact and provide the all important overview. This session takes a step back and relooks the issues with a fresh perspective. This is timely since changes were made to the Code of Corporate Governance in 2005 by the issuance of an amended Code on 14 July 2005, as well as their respective roles in helping their companies ensure compliance and manage disclosure concerns.
