ICTSD Dialogue on WTO Dispute Settlement and Sustainable Development

This conference is organized to discuss Africa's engagement with the WTO dispute settlement system to date, and identify possible strategies that could facilitate an effective engagement of the system where the need arises. It is particularly topical in light of the current stalemate in the Doha Negotiations, which some predict could lead to a flurry of disputes at the WTO, and also an increased importance of the WTO DSU in global trade relations.
