South African directors 'devote more time to their efforts'

Johannesburg - South African company directors spend more time on board matters than their global counterparts, according to results of a survey released on Friday.

Management consultancy Korn/Ferry International said its 31st Annual Board of Directors Study revealed that South African directors devote an average of 20 hours per month, or 17 percent more time than the global average, to their board duties.
