Review of Turnbull Guidance: Investors want more meaningful disclosure

There is broad support for the Turnbull guidance on internal control which is contained in the Combined Code in the responses to a consultation by the Financial Reporting Council (FRC) review group. It is gathering evidence to assess whether any changes to the guidance, published in 1999, need to be made.

The Investment Management Association (IMA) believes that the guidance has fulfilled its objectives in ensuring that companies maintain an adequate system of internal control which was subject to regular review.
