Corporate Governance Rating For Public Listed Companies

The corporate governance rating for public-listed companies (PLCs) will be ready end of this year, said Malaysian Institute of Corporate Governance (MICG) chief executive officer Dr Mohd Ishak Ismail.

Speaking to reporters at the corporate governance rating brainstorming session here Tuesday, he said MICG would come up with "templates" that could be used and applied across the board regardless of sectors and industries that the companies were involved.

"The rating for corporate governance is timely as it has been practised by other international matured share markets. The use has became a global trend and the trend is growing," Ishak said.
