Good corporate governance of Islamic financial institutions requires all stakeholders to responsibly complement each other as they serve as checks and balances in practice.
"Good governance is essentially participatory, transparent and accountable, all of which are elements embedded in Islam," Bank Negara Malaysia Governor Tan Sri Dr Zeti Akhtar Aziz said when addressing the opening session of the two-day Second Islamic Financial Services Board summit in Doha Tuesday.
