UniSuper makes corporate governance appointment

The $14.8 billion UniSuper fund has made two key appointment with independent consultant Helga Birgden named as governance and sustainable investments manager while Russell co-head of investment consulting Paul Laband takes on the new position of head of public markets.

UniSuper chief executive officer Ann Byrne says Birgden would help expand and deepen the fund’s corporate governance and sustainable investment policies and procedures.
