Antonio Fazio, President of the Banca d'Italia has denied that he has prevented foreign entry into the italian financial system. He has presided over a disastrous system that is either not of interest to foreigners (if you can believe what he says) or his protestations about his neutrality are a farce.
Either way he should go!
