
The second Annual Boardroom Summit, co- hosted by the New York Stock Exchange and Corporate Board Member magazine, will feature key governance experts, esteemed governance academics, and Fortune 1000 CEOs and directors speaking on today's most pressing boardroom issues. The ISS-accredited event will be held September 22-23, 2005, at the Waldorf=Astoria in New York.
The conference's featured panel will include Mark Ernst, president and CEO of H&R Block, David Steiner, CEO of Waste Management, and Raymond Troubh, former chairman of Enron Corporation, who will discuss effective ways for senior management and the board to communicate, comprehend, and monitor a company's strategy and direction. Troubh replaced the much-maligned Ken Lay as Enron's board leader and recently stepped down as chairman as Enron successfully emerged from bankruptcy status.
