The Thai Investors Association has joined the World Federation of Investors Corporation as the first member from an Asean country.
''It's not an easy task and we're really proud to have been accepted eventually. It's a very important milestone for us to elevate our organisation to an international stage,'' said TIA president Vichai Poolworaluk.
After its presentation in Toronto, the TIA was accepted as the 23rd member of the WFIC, being the first from Asean and the third from Asia. Its membership will create chances for Thai investors to learn new investment trends and approaches from the other member countries.
