Various regulations have driven companies to consider the use of technology whose benefits can be made to span the enterprise

In part one of this article, two e-business software vendors offered their perspectives on how spending initially directed towards SOX could take on strategic, enterprise-wide value.
In other words, "No one wants separate systems," according to Peter Morgan, VP of marketing at Open Pages. He goes on to discuss the ways in which a single system [of course, abetted by the numerous other systems of record that function in any enterprise environment] can lay the groundwork for multiple goals. "We've created a registry for every significant process in your organization," says Morgan. "It calibrates, measures, and manages -- on a risk-weighted basis -- those processes."
