CIPFA in partnership with SOLACE is reviewing and updating the Corporate Governance Framework for Local Government. In undertaking the review, views will be sought from local authorities, associations and the audit and inspection agencies on how the Framework is working in practice. Research has already started with a questionnaire requesting informal views circulated to chief executives in local authorities in England, Wales and Scotland. To date 50 replies have been received. The results will be analysed and considered at the first Joint Working Group meeting in October.
