Corporate governance in the global oil and gas sector was about more than just shareholder value - it was about technology as well as environmental development, investment and finally partnership with host countries, CEO of Norway's Norsk Hydro Eivind Reiten has said at the World Petroleum Congress (WPC).
Transparency International Chairman Peter Eigen said that there was nothing more damaging than corruption, either at corporate, governmental or other organisational levels.
Corruption was the antithesis of integrity and openness, Eigen said.
