ICAEW on audit quality

The Audit Quality Forum, convened by the Institute, has just published its forward work programme focusing on the overriding need to understand and articulate the purpose of an audit, the standards that it is carried out under, and issues relating to the relationships between stakeholders within the corporate reporting framework.

The Forum brings together representatives of auditors, investors, business and regulatory bodies. All stakeholder groups have expressed an interest in high quality audit and the purpose of the Forum is to encourage them to work together to promote open and constructive dialogue, explore key issues and generate practical ideas for further enhancing confidence in the independent audit.
