I have no new insights on the state of the global economy to report, no fresh news from the world of international accounting, nothing startling on Sarbanes/Oxley or corporate governance. In other words, nothing on the meat and potatoes that the Conference Board feeds on.
I said all I knew – all I’ve been immersed in for months – is the UN’s Oil for Food Programme.
Well, that confession was a mistake. I was promptly told that’s just what you all wanted to hear about.
