Experts from different fields here today highlighted the different aspects of corporate governance and also the emerging areas in corporate governance.
Participating in a seminar on ‘Corporate Governance and Indian Industry’ organised by the Patiala Chapter of the Indian Accounting Association in collaboration with the ICFAI National College, A K Jagannathan, General Manager of State Bank of Patiala, emphasised transparency and accountability and best management practices to be adopted by the corporate for their effective management and governance.
Citing cases of corporate failures in India and abroad, he explained the concept of corporate governance. Quoting the success stories of some of the big corporate houses of the country, Jagannathan highlighted the emerging areas of importance in corporate governance.
