SEAC To Hold Conference On Governance Practices


The Sabah Economic Action Council (SEAC) will hold a conference on good governance practices aimed at providing better understanding of the government's ongoing efforts to transform government-linked companies (GLCs) into high performance firms.

The GLCs Transformation Programme launched by the Federal Government last year has outlined policy guidelines for all GLCs and government-linked investment companies (GLICs).

Executive director of the Institute for Development Studies (Sabah), Datuk Dr Yaakub Johari, said it was important that GLCs and statutory bodies in the state keep abreast of developments at the national level and take appropriate steps to align their own transformation efforts.
