Corporate stakeholders facing challenge of establishing or improving governance: Leifermann
"Due to more complex and challenging business environments, stakeholders were demanding better corporate governance, meaning that management was faced with the challenge of establishing or improving governance, risk, control and audit processes".
MBA, CA, CIA, CFSA, CISA, CFE of BDO Indonesia, Phil Leifermann stated this while speaking at a seminar on enterprise risk management.
The Southern Regional Committee of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan arranged the seminar.
He also explained that various regulatory requirements such as SOX and Basel II, as well as the desire to meet international best practices, resulted in increasing expectations of management, as well as the evolution of dynamic approaches, techniques and tools for managing risk and control in all business environments.
