Russia must improve corporate governance - deputy premier


Russia needs to take action to bring its corporate governance culture up to global standards, a deputy prime minister said Wednesday.

"Russia is not a perfect example from the view of corporate culture, and since in our current state we cannot achieve [this culture] we need to orient towards international standards," Alexander Zhukov said at a round table on corporate governance in London.

A corporate governance culture is one of the most important factors in a national economy, Zhukov said, and Russia has achieved definite success in the sphere.
