Investors get behind IFRS despite UK companies' objections


Most UK companies still resent the move to International Financial Reporting Standards even as investors begin to appreciate its advantages, new research has found.

Some 58 per cent of executives said the new accounting rules had brought no benefits and 85 per cent said they had made it more difficult to explain their results, according to a survey by PwC and Ipsos Mori.
