SOX has devoted friends in the UK: the accountants whose income it inflates


UK accountants fear that the growth that SOX sparked may soon recede as corporations get used to it

6.30.06 UK accountants are singing the praises of Sarbanes-Oxley, as it contributed to a 14 percent increase in the fees they collected in 2005.

The adoption of the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) in the European Union was another factor.
