The IFC and the ILO - Finance and labour get engaged
Two major world bodies have come together for a push on working conditions
The International Finance Corporation and the International Labour Organisation are to collaborate on a programme to raise labour standards across global supply chains.
The “Better Work Programme” will provide global tools for labour standards monitoring and remediation. Industry sectors such as garments and footwear, plantations, electronic equipment and light manufacturing will be included.
