A chairman with no desire to leave office


Not surprisingly, Ferdinand Piech is claiming what is rightfully his (¨A chairman with no desire to leave office¨ Financial Times, December 17, 2006), the Chairmanship of Volkswagen.

No matter what he has said in the past, his family history at Volkswagen and Porsche is too long and important to him to let anything as unimportant as governance standards or fairness to all shareholders to get in the way.

If he can find a way to keep his heritage, make no mistake, he will do so.
