20th world energy congress - Rome 2007

The 20TH World Energy Congress & Exhibition, which is the most authoritative international energy meeting, will be held in Rome in the new venues of the “Nuova Fiera” from November 11th to 15th 2007.

This appointment will take place once again after fifteen years in Europe and it will be hosted in Italy for the first time.

It is promoted by the World Energy Council (WEC), which is the most important international energy organisation. It is a non profit NGO, UN-accredited, which aims to foster the economic development and the pacific and sustainable use of energy supplies.

With several Member Committees in over 90 countries, WEC aims to monitor the status of the energy sector and to find solutions that could promote the economic development of the most industrialised and developing countries, and at the same time, a sustainable supply and use of energy for the greatest benefit of all people.

This would be the best way of acting in order to contribute to the dynamic international debate. The Congress is held every three years and is considered the most important energy forum. Excellent speakers and thousands of participants come from all over the world. Besides the World Energy Council Members, the Congress will welcome exhibitors form both energy producing and consuming countries, Institutions, International Organizations and energy industry representatives, researchers and experts from all over the world and all those people who are interested in energy and development issues.
