Hours to Suit: Working Flexibly at Senior and Managerial levels
When: 22 May, 2007
Where: Central London, UK
Spring Conference
Keynote Speaker: Cherie Booth QC
This major conference will tackle one of the myths of work-life integration – that some jobs are too senior to be worked flexibly. Too often the mindset that working flexibly beyond a certain level is impossible pervades an organisation. The negative effects of this thinking can permeate through, undermining diversity, performance and organisational effectiveness.
New research from Working Families will profile, in detail, individuals who are working flexibly in senior and high level jobs to show that it can be done. The research will investigate how individual arrangements work, and also how a strategy of flexibility at senior levels fits in to the wider organisational context. Central to this will be an exploration of how effective management can be done on a flexible basis, and how you can profitably harvest the effects of fundamental work reorgansiation.
