Date: May 31, 2007
Time: 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM 16:00 - 17:30 CET

Over the last few years, more and more private businesses and humanitarian organizations have formed intersectoral partnerships which have successfully addressed urgent social needs. In some cases the relationships are purely commercial, and in others they are driven by philanthropic intentions.

The Conference Board has now has analyzed these partnerships and compiled a report on best practices in corporate humanitarian responses. The report is drawn from the work of The Conference Board Research Working Group on Corporate Responses to Humanitarian Disasters: Beyond Money: How can business draw upon core capabilities to help improve disaster preparedness and humanitarian response? The Working Group was comprised of representatives from GlaxoSmithKline, Global Impact, Philip Morris International, and SwissRe. Findings from this Working Group and related issues will be the subject of this webcast.
