Booz Allen's Board Diversity Initiative


In 2002, Booz Allen Hamilton launched the Board Diversity Initiative (BDI), a global transformation program that charted an intensive multi-year strategy to ensure that the firm continues to enhance, leverage and celebrate the diversity of our staff.

The BDI has four main goals:
  • Develop internal recruitment and sourcing processes that create a diverse pool of talent at all levels.
  • Establish advancement and development strategies that create opportunities for all staff to be successful.
  • Sustain a climate and management practice in which all employees believe that the firm values them.
  • Communicate a shared vision and clear objectives for the initiative.
