
As we’ve discussed several times already, labor faces more barriers to global mobility than goods or money. But just as money creeps through cracks in the financial system and goods come in under cover of darkness, labor is managing to find a way.
It’s not just the obvious steps, like Toyota placing the first non-Japanese person on its board this week. It’s also subtler maneuvers, like the manipulation of the H1-B visa program in the United States that has come to light this month.
