The Second Central America and Dominican Republic Forum for Transparency

When: 2-3 November
Where: San José, Costa Rica


The two-day event is hosted by the government of Costa Rica and will be opened by President Laura Chinchilla.

The second edition of the Forum will bring government, business and civil society together to coordinate measures to eradicate corruption, exchange experiences and discuss issues relevant for the countries of the region such as the implementation of international anti-corruption conventions, the role of the private sector and the media in the fight against corruption, and whistleblowers protection. The Forum will also focus on corruption and insecurity, judicial transparency, corruption within the security forces, and the link between organised crime and political campaign financing.
